The more people that come to your garage sale the more people will buy at your garage sale. Many people are out on Fridays and Saturdays just to come to garage sales. That is the bottom line. Signs are still very good! What you have to do is to get your signs out so that people can see them, but many people don't like them in their yards, and many cities will remove them early in the morning. In my city there is a whole crew that removes them on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 6AM.

I had a garage sale and after two spring days and 19 customers I had sold $37.50 worth of products. The products were good. There was no junk, just things I had bought for my family. They came because of the signs, and they had to validate their decision by making a purchase. Now some customers can see your signs, and some can see your ad here and for free. Use the ad form to place your ad at least 3 weeks before your sale and make more money selling your products.

What you need to do is to figure out how many corners that you can place your signs at. Check with your city to make sure that you know if you can put your signs out and where. It is better to put your signs about a half a block away from the corner that you want your customers to turn and put them there. Most cities don't want you putting your signs on the corner and would rather have you put them well before the corner. That way the people can plan on where to turn before they get there.
